Montage – My initial Flight Training – Naple APF. I began my initial flight training in Naples Florida in 1999. Transitioning between the R22 and 206, the video also depicts where I gained most of my love for and interest in flying helicopters, which of course was none other than Airwolf. I would later spend time in Connecticut where I would work on my instrument/commercial flying … flying in the snow and ice, and doing confined area ops atop snow covered mountains (or very, very big hills 
– My first flight instructor (seen in the video) was Joe Fragione of London Aviation, FL. One of the most upstanding guys and best pilots I know.

I say go for it! IMO there’s nothing like the feeling of flying a full scale heli and being able to go almost anywhere you want. Keep the dream alive and you will do it.

RC and full scale helicopters fly very much the same, so you’re not too far from the real thing

I have another teacher aquaintance who just went to what you are doing at Williamtown airbase heli school, he sure knows how to make me jealous talking about his 90 hours up out of 200 for his initial private heli licence in Australia
