Great Video!! I just took my 1st intro discovery flight in the Cessna skyhawk because I want to train for my private pilot’s license. I got sick and they had to land the plane. Are there any suggestions on how to not get that sick vomiting feeling? The instructor introduced me to stalls and sharp turns and thats when I got sick.I am going back next week for a retry, I hope that Im will be better.

For the US PPL, …
For the US PPL, spins aren’t required, just spin awareness. You don’t have to do spins until you’re ready to be a CFI.
I don’t know what Canada’s requirements are.
I’ve spun a couple of times with my CFI…it was the most awesome experience I’ve had to date. I think I had more fun trying to induce one though.

You should not be scared. Those might feel weired at first but than you will really like those sensations.

Nice vid. I am 2 years away from becoming eligible age wise to get my wings. Quick question I’m Scared out of my mind right now. 1) Is spin practice a cause it looks freaky? 2) is stalling like the feeling you get when you drop on a roller coaster cause that looks worse.

Truer words have never been said!! Trouble is, they become ‘expert’ spinners when low and slow, especially turning on final with a crosswind blowing you across the centerline in the turn..that said, it’s still an overall docile AC.

It’s the opposite, we could hardly get it to spin with a third person (all pilots). IF you watch the video closely, we were hardly able to get 1 turn and it stopped spinning almost right away. Gotta like Cessna design, when things don’t want to spin, that’s a good thing!
